Annaliese Settles, founder of Women In Hospitality, is creating a powerful platform for change by reshaping industry standards to increase female representation in leadership and managerial roles within hospitality.

Her Story

Annaliese Settles, Founder & Executive Director of Women In Hospitality, Inc., is a hospitality professional, nonprofit founder, and passionate advocate for women in the industry. Her commitment to service and community leadership began before her corporate career—evident through her early involvement with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). These roles reflect a lifelong dedication to initiatives that empower others and create lasting change.

In 2021, Annaliese founded Women In Hospitality, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and professional network designed to support and uplift women across all sectors of the hospitality industry. Through scholarships, grants, career resources, and mentorship, the organization is breaking down barriers and building a bold, inclusive pathway for women to enter, rise, and lead at every level of the hospitality industry.

Annaliese’s own journey began at the Conrad N. Hilton College at the University of Houston, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management. While still a student, she started her career in custodial services at the Hilton University Hotel and rose quickly to become a housekeeping supervisor—earning recognition as a Hilton Blue Energy Committee Member for exemplifying the company’s core values. She later went on to work in guest services at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Houston and now serves as Director of Sales and Marketing for her family’s international hospitality technology company, LuxuryRes, Inc.

With over a decade of experience in both luxury and operational sectors, Annaliese brings a unique blend of hands-on expertise and visionary leadership to her work.

Her mission is clear: to close the gender gap in hospitality by removing systemic barriers, elevating women into leadership roles, and ensuring the industry reflects the diversity of those it serves.

She’s not just building a network—she’s building a movement.
